Cooperative can be established by at least three members.
Agreement on the establishment of cooperatives will be concluded in a notorial document. Cooperative is registered with the Commercial Court in Bjelovar (Šet. dr. Ivše Lebovića 42, Bjelovar), a procedure for establishment and registration is very similar to the registration of the company. The application for registration of cooperatives to the Commercial Court is necessary to submit the following documents: Minutes from the inaugural co-operatives, The decision to appoint members of the Supervisory Board, The decision to appoint the president and vice president of the Supervisory Board, The decision to appoint a manager cooperatives, notarize signature of cooperative managers, statement of the person authorized to conduct business cooperatives, List of members of cooperatives and proof of payment of fees for the state budget and the ads for the National Gazette and local newspaper.
After this procedure is identical to the procedure of registering a company (registration in the Central Bureau of Statistic, the Tax Administration, Croatian Health Insurance Institute and Croatian Institute for Pension Insurance). All documents relating to the establishment of cooperatives must be submitted to the Croatian Association Cooperatives, Gajeva 2a, Zagreb.
